"After the Revolution: Actions and Protagonists of Italian Radical Architecture 1963-1973"

Emanuele Piccardo (Genova, 1972) is an architect, photographer, filmmaker and architectural critic. His research focuses on the relationship between architecture and society through the use of various media. In 2002 he founded Archphoto.it, the first Italian thematic webzine related to architecture, visual arts and the human sciences. In 2003 he founded the cultural association "plug_in" which, since 2007, publishes books regarding architecture and visual arts. His photographic research is held in the Bibliotheque NAtionale de France, Paris and MAXXI in Rome. He collaborates with newspapers and architectural magazines. Piccardo will be discussing the interrelationship of art, politics and architecture in the work of Italian designers and artists associated with Architettura Radicale in the late sixties and early seventies. His presentation will include films of recent interviews with the protagonists of the period.
